For Bloggers

There is already a large community of bloggers writing on the topics of artisan food craftsmanship, locavore lifestyles, and whole food nutrition. While we certainly strive to produce original and dedicated content, we welcome cross-posting arrangements as well. If you are an established blogger on the topics of sustainable farming, local food, traditional food preparation, or any topic relevant to our site, you have the option of joining the Farm to Table community by publishing excerpts from your blog’s posts on Farm to Table’s site.

Getting Started

  • If you are interested in sharing your content, please contact the appropriate editor. They will check out your site and determine how you can contribute.
  • Register for a new user account here.
  • Import an excerpt of your article for publication to Farm to Table through our WordPress interface as a new post, with any pictures (Please see our Style Guide for help).
  • Notify us when it is ready for posting. An editor will format it and attach a link to your blog.

Guidelines

  • Posts from other blogs will be in excerpt format. The first paragraph or two will be published on Farm to Table, and readers will be directed to your blog to finish the article.
  • You do not have to offer all your posts for publication on Farm to Table. Arrangements include weekly postings on a particular topic, or select articles published at irregular intervals based on our posting schedule.
  • We are looking for high quality writing, with insightful or unique views on the issues we cover. Consistent posting is a big plus as well. We encourage you to maintain your unique voice, but expect cross-posted articles to meet our editorial standards.

Benefits

By posting your articles on Farm to Table, you will gain exposure to our large community of followers, and because we will only publish excerpts, you will gain plenty of traffic for your site as well. We gain by providing access to high quality articles on a variety of topics and expanding the community.
